Neurofibromatosis (NF) Midwest is has big news!
Dr. Jay Joshi, a nationally recognized leader in pain management, will be speaking at NF Midwest’s November 5th symposium about Medical Cannabis and Chronic Pain.
In 2014, Dr. Joshi was featured on CNN during a debate on medical marijuana for chronic pain. His thoughts, insight, and expertise helped clarify the confusion and debate surrounding medical marijuana by providing balanced commentary about the usefulness of medical marijuana.
In that interview he pointed out that the debate should not be about whether cannabis-based medications help with pain, but rather about how we can safely help patients. He believes that no medications are risk-free and all can have potential side effects. It is important to have a top-tier physician who understands all forms of appropriate and safe treatment options and, more importantly, can diagnose individuals correctly.
