SamJam Donates $11K to NF Midwest
This year, SamJam4NF (or SamJam, Unplugged on the Prairie) raised and donated $11,000 to NF Midwest! SamJam is an all day music fest featuring progressive bluegrass, Americana, and roots music. The day also includes beer, wine, food, and fun! It’s held in the fall in Carlinville, IL. This unique event started in 2014 and is really taking off! SamJam has been held at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds for the past three years and all music is played in a covered area with plenty of seating.
Everyone is welcome to come and go as they please throughout the day, as long as they have their wristbands, but nobody wants to leave for long as the fest is full of life and love! In addition, everyone is welcome to camp out at the fairgrounds or stay at local hotels after the long day. The Carlin Villa is a proud sponsor of SamJam, so if you plan on going next year (and you should!) check them out!
Pete Oswald and his sons, Pete and Sam, put on amazing event every year in honor of Sam who has NF1. They are dedicated to helping to improve the lives of people with NF. The Oswalds and the NF Midwest team truly hope that you will attend SamJam4NF next year! It is an amazing event that anyone would attend on a normal day, but there’s a bonus! This music fest helps raise money and awareness for neurofibromatosis!
