Same Mission: New Way of Saying It
NF Midwest C.A.R.E.S.
If you read our spring 2014 newsletter or our annual review you may have noticed that we have rewritten our mission statement. However, though the text has changed our mission remains essentially the same as it has been for 30 years. We feel this new mission statement clarifies what we do, why we do it and how we do it.
Our new mission statement is:
NF Midwest is committed to improving the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by neurofibromatosis. Our continued focus and foundation is on Clinics, Awareness, Research, Education and Support in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and the eastern half of Missouri.
We also have a new acronym to make it easy to remember we do. That is NF Midwest C.A.R.E.S. by focusing on five areas – Clinics, Awareness, Research, Education and Support.
We have always been committed to the NF community. We believe neurofibromatosis is a lifelong, life affecting, and continually evolving disorder that needs this five pronged approach to better the lives of people with it. To do that end we have been and continue to be here for it all—from diagnosis on—and we want it all—Clinics, Awareness, Research, Education and Support!
If you have any questions or want to help in anyway with our mission please contact us at 630.945.3562 or email . We also welcome donations of any size at nfmidwest.org/donate.
Please, also consider an automatic monthly donation.
Consistent giving helps us KEEP HOPE IN MOTION!
