Neurofibromatosis Champions Reach Out to the Media
Yesterday we talked about the brave NF Champions that raise awareness by speaking in front of various audiences about neurofibromatosis. Other NF Champions take it to the masses through media. Often this involves having a contact in the media or putting out their own emotional, personal story.
Some of our NF Champions in media exposure include our Madison Great Steps Committee of Tim, Kristin and Katy who had a wonderful news story on TV the night before the walk and the Geier family who also had a great story run in the news in Madison just before their Links for Lauren golf benefit. Also, Crystal R. in Chippewa Falls has arranged for Alex and Cora of WAXX 104.4 to host the Chippewa Great Steps 4NF walk in May.
Gabby A. had an article published in a local Chicago newspaper and Jaime C. has arranged some media exposure for a bowling event.
Getting media attention is hugely important for neurofibromatosis awareness and we have NF Champions that have contacts or simply have the determination to get it done. Thank you to our NF Champions who are spreading the word neurofibromatosis through media outlets big and small across the US.
